FCAC Social Services Team members assigned to a case provide extra support by:
Guiding the client and holding their hand throughout the case
Being a liaison with the FCAC attorney
Providing non-legal support and out of court advocacy
Helping the client locate and access community resources and services
Identifying family members and friends who can support the client
Helping a parent navigate the family plan of service
Independently investigating proposed placements and conducting safety assessments
Identifying appropriate providers and evaluators
Observing family visits
Assisting clients or family members with navigating applications or forms
Providing relapse support
Helping with crisis intervention
Acting as a client’s a mentor, cheerleader, and advisor
